Racing Hospitality

Book me for your Racing Hospitality and I’ll provide you with a variety of different VIP tours – the kind that Joe Public don’t get!

I’ll greet you on arrival and tell you what’s planned for your racing hospitality day.  You’ll then be talked through the day’s card and I’ll tell you a few terrible jokes.  You’ll get a tour of the Weighing Room, plenty of ‘behind the scenes’ and racing-related stories, plus that all important trip down to the last fence where you’ll be fifteen feet from where the horses are jumping at 35 miles per hour.

As part of your racing hospitality day, I’ll tell you what it’s actually like to ride in a race, and if it’s a flat meeting you’ll get a trip down to the starting stalls.  You’ll meet one of the top jockeys riding at the meeting and we’ll have a bit of banter with them.  Regular jockeys include James Bowen, Nico De Boinville, Gavin Sheehan, and we have plenty of flat jockeys to entertain you with too – including Ryan Moore and William Buick.  (I’m the only person that can make Ryan smile, and you don’t want to miss that.)  Smaller groups will get a tour of the commentator’s box, and you may spot a celebrity or two knocking around behind the scenes.

Great Craic & Unforgettable Hospitality

Crossey is invaluable to the racing industry and offers an outstanding contribution. Whether he is getting children and amateurs involved through his jockey coaching or giving our clients unforgettable experiences in hospitality, he provides great craic for all.

Meet And Greets, Alongside A Pretty Good Tipping Service

Dave came on board at Plumpton just last season for our bigger race days, and he didn’t disappoint. He manages to combine speaking to the educated and non-educated racegoers in fantastic style and as a current jockey, people can really get on board with what he’s telling them. Parade Ring visits, last fence trips, jockey meet and greets alongside a pretty good tipping service (!!) means I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Dave to anyone for your racing events.

Best Of All Banter

David has always been red hot on the form book so it was fantastic when he agreed to sit on the panel at our annual Cheltenham Festival Preview. Not only did he give the 1-2 in the Supreme to get everyone off to a great start, but he also tipped a 28-1 handicap winner later in the meeting. Best of all was his banter with the packed crowd. Plenty of funny stories were shared so a great night was had by all. David is already booked for next year.

A Huge Part Of The Team Here At Wincanton

David is a one off! He is such a huge part of the team here at Wincanton on our race days, our clients are given an experience of a lifetime. Along with a few giggles and friendly banter, our guests leave with the biggest smiles on their faces and can’t wait to do it all again.

Stable Tours

Followed by a day at the races.

Enjoy a trip to a racehorse trainer’s yard of your choice.  Then if you want to see more and make a day of it, after a morning on the gallops I’ll accompany you to a racing meeting where you’ll be treated like a VIP, see ‘behind the scenes’ and get much, much closer to the action.  Of course if you just want a yard tour that’s fine too.  Give me a call and we make a plan that suits you.

About Me

Numerous fractures, broken ribs, broken ankle, dislocated shoulder, compound fracture… and over 200 winners!

I didn’t sit on a horse until I was thirteen. My only interests were playing hurling and football – and like many kids I didn’t have a clue what I actually wanted to be when I grew up.

My little sister Michelle started going to a riding school a couple of miles down the road but I didn’t want to go with her as I thought horses were for girls.  A few months later Michelle dared me to come along.  Being a boy and when your little sister dares you, you don’t back down!  So, I went along, and I was hooked immediately.
